Oh What A Beautiful Morning......

Oh what a beautiful day.....

We have had two of the most beautiful sun filled days after lots of rain...and snow...when I got up around 6am we were in the middle of a snow storm....when I finally raised myself from bed at 7:30am this is all that was left....

just the roofs and cars still covered...and the sun peeping through....

I am now feeling much, much better....the heart and the mind are very willing...but the body is not so...I have had to take it easy this week...not firing on all cylinders just yet but getting better every day...I have just been really, really tired...

So lots of resting and planning has been going around my head this week...decorating had been put on hold while I wasn't well...but will commence again soon :) so todays diary entry might be a bit photo heavy as I have not really done much...

I have been making lots of fruit smoothies to try and get my energy back up...I love homemade smoothies... :)

My food mixer thinks I have fell out with it...not been in use for a couple of weeks now :( but as it was my in-laws birthdays this week I made some scones for when they came to visit....

and as for crochet...I have done a little...but I haven't wanted to do much...I think I've lost my crochet Mojo....I hope it comes back!!!  Maybe when my head is not full of decorating it can start to get creative with wool again... :)

I'm not up to date with the daily square blanket either...but I hope to put that right and get back on track this week :)

We have just got back from a lovely, gentle stroll with Puppy Dog...beautiful sunshine...and countryside....it really does lift your spirits...

this is Magpie nest in progress in the blossom tree...just look at that gorgeous blue sky!

you can hardly see her...but Mrs Thrush was busy collecting for her nest too....

bluebells opening....

lots of bluebells.... :)

and yet more...but these were white!!

Honesty peeping through the copper beech hedge....I love Honesty just so pretty all season...first these lovely purple flowers...then the gorgeous purpley green seed pods...so useful in flower arrangements, I usually put some in a vase with some blooms...then the paper thin seed heads in the Autumn...

the Cow Parsley is getting very tall all of a sudden...

and the brook is greening up lovely...and its nice and full and flowing...sometimes during the summer it gets down to a trickle...we know we are having a good summer when that happens :)

So that's it really...new furniture for the bedroom is arriving this week...so lots of flat-pack building to be done and a few little crafty decorations to make...and hopefully some parcels through the post from my EBay shopping to look forward to :) ...cant wait to see the bedroom finished then I can move on to the office/craft room :)

So I will leave you with this weeks vintage photo...

Solitaire...we had one just like this...in fact I bet Mom still has it...I used to spend hours playing with this...Mom eventually taught me how to do it...to complete the game ending with one peg in the middle...then I used to spend hours trying to do it a different way...can you imagine the kids doing this today? I cant...they would be bored after one go and probably lose the pegs!

This weeks quote...

you really do have to love who you are to be genuinely happy...something some of us struggle with, myself included but its very important... :)

Have a lovely week all...enjoy everything you do...I'm hoping over the coming weeks my strength returns and the posts get a bit more interesting :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
